Allison Bicknell may not think of herself as a pioneer, but that's what she is. The Waterford Kettering High School senior recently became the first women's basketball recruit to sign to play for Lawrence Tech University in Southfield.

Lawrence Tech's first women's basketball coach is Mary Pinkowski, who has coached winning teams in the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) for both the University of Michigan Dearborn and Webber International University in Florida.
