Lawrence Tech's Men's Ice Hockey program takes on the Titans of Detroit Mercy in round one of the MCHC playoffs Thursday night (2-23) at City Sports Arena in Detroit. The puck drops at 9:30 p.m.
The Blue Devils will get their third shot at taking down the Titans Thursday night as both squads square off in the opening round of the MCHC Red Division Playoffs.
These two teams first tangled October 28 with the Titans shutting out the Blue Devils 3-0. A little less than a month later the Titans squeaked by LTU in a high scoring affair winning by a final score of 6-5 on November 19.
The fifth ranked Blue Devils take on the fourth ranked UDM Titan. Also squaring off in the first round of the playoffs will be third seed Michigan State and sixth seed Lansing Community College.
Friday the top two teams in the Red will be awaiting the winners from Thursday night. Top seeded Adrian College (Gold) will take on the lowest remaining seed and second seeded Michigan-Flint will take on the highest remaining seed.
Saturday will be the Championship game preceeded by the consolation game.
All games will be played at City Sports Arena in Detroit.
