ANN ARBOR, Mich. – The Lawrence Technological University women's soccer team fell 0-4 to Concordia (Mich.) University today.
Striking first for Concordia was Sydney Rouse early in the 38th minute of play. Four minutes later she would be joined by Matea Smith to give the Cardinals a 2-0 lead. Adding two more insurance goals in the second period were Justine Jahnke and Janaya Lothian to seal the match 4-0. Courtney Tyler, Heather Emke and Martha Mullet contributed one assist each.
Danae Dicicco and Ally Nyboer each recorded two shots on goal in the contest to pace the Blue Devils. Heather Derstine was in net for LTU facing 13 shots on goal, saving eight while allowing four goals. She was relieved late in the second period by Megan Dixon who notched one save.
Lawrence Tech is now 10-4, 4-3 in the WHAC. They return to their home pitch on October 22 for Senior Day when they take on Lourdes (Ohio) University at 12:30 P.M.
